W.H. Arnett
While Working in the apple Harvest several weeks ago W.H. Arnett contracted a severe cold from which he failed to recover and grew steadily worse until death relieved his suffering last Friday.
Mr. Arnett was born in Union County, Illinois on September 3, 1859 and reached the age of 73 years and two months. While he was quite young the family moved to Kentucky where he grew to manhood. He came westwards and remained in Missouri for several years. In that state he married Louisa E. Duncan on March 10th 1887. to this union was born seven children two of whom died in infancy, and one son Fredrick, died near Cedaredge about three years ago. those surviving in addition to Mrs. Arnett are: C.H. Arnett of Grand Junction, Wm. E. Arnett and Mrs Mabel Bennett of Pagoda, CO., and Mrs Ida Robinson of Carbondale, Co.
The family moved to Colorado about 27 years ago and Mr. and Mrs. Arnett have resided in this district for the greater part of the last 4 years
Rev. C.h. Stickle preached the funeral sermon at the Baptist Church last Sunday afternoon at 3:30, Burial was made in the family lot in the Cedaredge Cemetery
