Charles H. Arnett
RIFLE- Charles Herbert Arnett, 80,
of 2888 Victoria Dr., a resident of Grand Junction
for Seven years died at 5 P.M.
Friday in the home of his son Charles in Craig
a retired rancher, he was born June 29 1892
in Benton County (Actually Shannon Co.)Mo.
where he lived for 15 years.he then moved
to Idaho where he lived for three years before
coming to Colorado.
He married Mary D. Henderson At
Iliff on April 24th 1919. she died in
October 1970. He also lived at
Divide Creek, Naturita, and Rulison. Mr.
Arnett Served in the U.S. Army during
World War I and was sent to France where
he ingaged in several battles according
to military records.
He is survived by three Daughters,
Mrs Goldie Paxton of Basalt and Mrs.
Ruby Paxton and Mrs. Verna
Stinecipher of Grand Junction; four
sons, Charles of Craig, Herbert of Grand
Valley, and Bob and Kenneth of Grand
Junction; one sister, Mrs. Mabel
Gardner of Hayden; 28 grandchildren
and 33 great grandchildren
