At 4 o'clock on last Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Jonathan Merriman, of this place, died of consumption. The deceased had been in poor health for a long time, and death was undoubtedly a relief to her. Her funeral occurred on Friday afternoon and was very respectably attended. Her remains were interred in the Zener Cemetery, a short distance east of town. She leaves a husband and 2 daughters, Anna and Lucy, to mourn her death.
