She was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church. She and her husband Raymond E. Horne moved to Rogersville in June, 1934 when he became Agricultural County Agent for Hawkins County.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Horne, Jr. and wife, Jean Altom Horne and Gene Horne and his two sons Michael and Austin; grandson David Horne.
She is survived by a daughter, Dottie Heck, Rogersville and a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and wife, Judy Horne, Vonore; and daughter-in-law, Ruth Horne; seven grandsons; six granddaughters, 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at Colboch-Price Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Harrison officiating. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Highland Cemetery.
Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville was in charge of arrangements.
