2024 Note: Obituaries from 1888 indicate that Eliza Ballou Garfield was interred at Lake View Cemetery, at least temporarily. Eliza was the mother of President James A. Garfield.

According to the website of the National Park Service:
"Eliza was temporarily interred in the Garfield Monument at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio when it was completed in May 1890. She now rests in Roselawn Cemetery, Solon, Ohio, beside her husband, Abram."
