Mary Arsula was the 3rd of 10 children born to Elijah & Susan (Headley) Tolle.

Around 1882, she married Worthy Hugh Bishop, an immigrant from Wales, in Indiana. The couple had five children:

Eva (1883-?)
Blanche Mae (1884-1861) [Mrs. Henry Hafer]
Alfred Andrew (1885-1951)
Florence Evelyn (1888-1977) [Mrs. Ross McPherson]
Elijah J. (1893-1894)

Worthy died in 1895 in Nebraska.

Mary Arsula's second marriage was to William Lynn. They married in 1899 in Nebraska. The couple had one son, Perry Andrew Lynn (1900-1975.) William died before 1910.

The 1910 Census, for Geneva, Geneva Twp, Fillmore, Nebraska, shows Arsula Lynn, a widow, living in the home with her daughter and son-in-law, Florence and Ross McPherson.

In the 1930 Census, for East Akron, Washington County, Colorado, Mary Arsula Lynn is head of the household, with her son, Perry Lynn and his wife, Laura, and grandchildren, Norma and Perry Jr. living with her.

Mary died 19 October 1932, in Otis, Colorado, and was laid to rest in Akron Cemetery.
