Ruth C. Bills, 90, died Wednesday May 11, 2011 at West Gate Gardens nursing home in Visalia, Calif. where she had been since April.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920 in Evanston to her parents, George and Harriet Cluff. She was raised in Evanston and graduated from Evanston High School.
Ruth worked as a secretary for Union Pacific Railroad for many years. She remained in Evanston until 2004 when she moved to Visalia, Calif. to be near her son and his family.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Sheri O'Hara, Cori O'Hara, Jon Zellars, Stephanie Snow, Justin Zellars; 12 great-grandchildren; stepson Royce Bills; seven step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert Bills, daughter Sheri O'Hara Gunyan, son Jon O'Hara, brother Dale Cluff, sister Anna Laura Eastman.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 18, at 10 a.m. in the Visalia Cemetery.
