Mr. John Gallo Sr.
Mr. John Gallo, Sr, age 66 of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday at 8:10 p. m. in a local hospital of a sudden heart attack.
He was born October 19, 1888, in Saint Johns, Italy a son of the late Frank and Josephine Lopez Gallo.
He was a coal mine operator and owner of the Clarksburg Taxi Company and the Shinnston Cab Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Constanzia Audia Gallo; seven sons: Frank of Shinnston, Pete of Reynoldsville, Tony of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sam of 339 Mayo St., John Jr. and Joe Billy both of Reynoldsville, Carl Lee at home; six daughters, Mrs. Sam Annie, Mrs. Paul Bishop both of Reynoldsville, Miss Rosa Gallo at home, Mrs. Eddie Lee Wilson and Mrs. George Pappus both of Reynolds ville, Mrs. John Nicholson, 1683 Huffman Avenue; three brothers Pietro Gallo of Reynoldsville, Frank and Guy, Chicago, IL; one sister Mrs. Angeline Scotchel, Morgantown; and 20 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and had lived in Harrison county for 54 years.
Friends may call at the late residence where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p. m. Funeral services willbe held Friday at 10:30 a. m. at his residence with the Reverand Leo Lydon officiating. Interment will be made at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
