Asaba Frey, a well known farmer residing near Stockwell, died early last Saturday morning at the Home hospital in Lafayette, following an operation for cancer of the abdomen, which he underwent some time ago.
Mr. Frey was born in Pennsylvania, 65 years ago, coming to Tippecanoe county 47 years ago. He had resided on his farm near Stockwell for the past twenty-six years. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Abbie Ellen Smith, of Geetingsville. To this union, eleven children were born, ten of whom with the widow survive. The deceased was a member of the Reformed church and was a man of sterling character, being highly respected by all who knew him.

The deceased was 65 years old and was born in Pennsylvania. He came to Tippecanoe county 47 years ago. Twenty-six years ago, he moved onto the farm which had been his home since. In 1883 he was married to Abbie Ellen Smith of Geetingsville. Eleven children were born to the union, ten of whom survive with the widow. He had been a member of the Reformed church.
