Barbara Brewer, Collinwood, Tennessee, was born May 29, 1947, in Truman, Arkansas, the daughter of the late William Elmer and Dorcie Martin Qualls. She was united in marriage to James Hershel Brewer on July 3, 1965. She was a retired cafeteria cook at Collinwood Middle School and was a member of Collinwood Church of God.
Mrs. Brewer departed this life Saturday, May 21, 2011, at her home at the age of 63 years, 11 months, 22 days.
She is survived by her husband, James Hershel Brewer; sons, James Anthony Brewer (Jancie), Kenny Wayne Brewer (Michele) all of Collinwood, Tenn.; daughter, Tosha Lynn Stricklin (Jason), Rogersville, Ala.; grandchildren, Megan, Jamie Ann, Jace and Kassidy Brewer, Alyssa and Caleb Stricklin; brothers, Roger Qualls, Jonesboro, Ark., Robert Qualls, Iron City, Tenn.; sisters, Bernice Wiley, Truman, Ark., Diane Holley, Lake City, Ark.; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Collinwood Church of God, with Richard Neal, Butch Kephart and Jimmy Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tenn., Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Mark, Eddie, Tim and Dwayne Brewer, Shawn Hill, Michael Clanton. Visitation will be at Collinwood Church of God, Monday, May 23, 2011, from 10 a.m. to service time.
