Obituary for Millie Berry (Knight) Williams:

Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Berry Williams, 91, of Poteau were held Friday at 10 a.m. at Evans Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Patterson of Heavener, officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery (also known as Spiro City Cemetery) at Keota.

Mrs. Williams, who had been a patient in a Poteau nursing home for several years, was a long-time resident of Keota and had also resided at Howe and Spiro for a number of years. A member of the Howe Methodist Church, Mrs. Williams was the widow of the late E.E. (Elmer Ellsworth) Williams, former Poteau merchant.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. W.B. (Rosemary L. Williams) Milam of Spiro and Mrs. Alfred (Effie Lorraine Williams) Pace of Deming, New Mexico; two sons, B.R. Williams of Garden Green, California and Lester Lee Williams of Buena Park, California; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Jack Briley of Spiro, Mel Robins and J.E. Williams, both of Van Buren, Arkansas and Argus Dowdy of Tulsa.
