Leota Mae Stevens, 85 of Albion, IL, passed away at 1:34 PM Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi, IL.
Leota was born January 29, 1925 in Arlington, IN. Her parents were George W. and Fannie Edna (Nigh) Robbins. She married William D. Stevens August 8, 1945 in Kittery Point, ME and he preceded her in death November 3, 2002.
She was a member of Bridgeport Wesleyan Church. For 20 years she was active in farming, 40 years of ministry and Psychological Counseling.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Doris Ann (Eric) Vinger of Scottsdale, AZ, Debby Mae (Larry) Mayo of Wheaton, IL, 3 sons; John Dennis (Vicki) Stevens of Albion, IL, Paul Douglas (Kim)Stevens of Edwardsville, IL, Wm. Daniel (Cathy) Stevens of Jonesboro, GA, 1 sister; Mona Lea Cole of Greenfield, IN, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1:00pm at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
