William W. Anderson, 83, died at his home in New Market, Wednesday, Jan 1. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev Louie Watson of Creston. Burial was in Memory cemetery.

William W. Anderson was born Nov 17, 1852, at Martinsburg, Ohio. He moved to Henry county, Iowa, at the age of twelve years and was married to Merab E. Harlan, Dec 23, 1875. They moved to Page county, Iowa, March 1, 1876, where he resided on a farm until he moved to New Market in 1903.

To them were born five sons and four daughters, three of whom preceded him in death, Florence E., Nina Bell, and Naoma.

Those surviving are Eldia S. Anderson of Onaga, Kans; Verner J. Anderson of Winterset, Iowa; Lee R. Anderson of Clarinda; Clarence E. Anderson of Norwich; Mrs Myrtle Herriman of Mound City, Mo; Merrill W. Anderson of Shenandoah; and his companion through sixty years of married life.
