Mrs. Josina Hartley, aged 82, widow of James L. Hartley, died at 1:10 o'clock yesterday morning at the family home, 218 North Calvert street, after an extended illness.
Josina was born in Delaware County on 7 March 1857, the daughter of the late John and Rebecca Brammer Weir. Mrs. Hartley had spent her entire life in Delaware and Henry counties. She was a member of Jackson Street Christian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Emma Hartley of Muncie; one son, John Edgar Hartley of Springport, Indiana; four grandchildren, Miss Hazel Hartley of this city, John Leroy Hartley of Auburn, Indiana, Mrs. Marcella Ritchie and Loren Hartley, both of Springport, Indiana; and one great-grandchild, Maryln Hartley of Auburn, Indiana.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. The body had been removed from the Meeks mortuary to the residence, where friends may call.
