MARRIAGE RECORD
To the Honorable Judge of the Prbate Court of Hamilton County, Ohio:
To the undersigned respectfully represents that she is one of the applicants for a Marriage License, and upon being duly sworn deposes and says that her name is Lida Adkins, that she was 21 years of age on the 30 day of Dec. A.D. 1924, that her residence is 2465 Eastern Ave. Hamilton County, Ohio, that her place of birth was Illinois that her occupation is at home that her father's names is Melvin Adkins that her mother's maiden name was Pearl Randall that the applicant was not previously married, that she has no husband living, that she is not nearer kin to Zora Delk than second cousin, and that there is no legal impediment to her being married, and that she is not an habitual drunkard, epileptic, imbecile or insane person, and is not now under the influence of any intoxicating liquor or narcotic drug. Wherefore, applicant prays that a Marriage License issue to herself and Zora Delk. Be It Known, That License and Permission of Marriage are hereby granted unto Zora Delk and Lida Adkins and any Minister of the Gospel, Justice of the Peace, or other person legally licensed to solemnize Marriages is hereby authorized to join them in Marriage according to law.

June 13, 1959
Mrs. Lida Mabel Adkins Delk, 50, wife of Zora Delk, died June 4 in Somerset City Hospital.
The daughter of Melvin and Pearl May Adkins, she was born Dec. 30, 1906.
She married Zora Delk June 9, 1925 and five children blessed this union.
One son preceded her in death.
Mrs. Delk professed her faith in Christ at an early age and united with the New Hope Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member of that church until her death.
Mrs. Delk is survived by her husband;
three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Shadoan, Mrs. Margaret Erp, and Mrs. Ruby White, all of Cincinnati;
one son, Jimmy Delk, Somerset.
She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Adkins;
four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hoover and Mrs. Nina Richardson, both of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ella Delk, Cincinnati, and Miss Ida Adkins, Somerset;
two brothers, Vola Adkins and Howard Adkins, both of Brownsburg, Ind; six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Thursday in the New Hope Baptist Church.
The Revs. H.J. Ridner and Lonnie Meece conducted the services.
Burial was in the Pine Thicket cemetery.
