TULIA - Odell Gregg, 92, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Bruce Baird, pastor of Central Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Odell was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Quitique to Arthur and Rosa Morris Gregg. He grew up around Silverton and graduated in 1937 from Silverton High School. He worked for a soil conservation service after high school.

He married Mary Love on Jan. 12, 1940. They made their home in Tulia, where he farmed and drove a truck. He later worked for Wrangler Feed Yard for more than 20 years before retiring. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rosa Gregg; a brother, Odis Gregg; and two sisters, Alyce Lindemann and Zonelle Milton.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a brother, Bill Gregg of Springfield, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Dirks of Canyon; a brother-in-law, Jim Ned Love of Tulia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
