Edward Snyder, 32, member of a prominent Beaver Dam family died in the coal fields of Virginia Saturday, meager information indicates and funeral services were conducted from Beaver Dam BAptist Church, in this county Monday by Reverend Ed Hodges. A delegation from the local union of the United Mine Workers of America was present for the services and conducted the ritual at the graveside in the community cemetery.
Surviving are a widow and four children.
Deceased was a son of Mr. J. S. Snyder of Beaver Dam and had been working in the coal mines for the past 12 years, it is said.
