Texas Pioneer. Served in the Texas Republic Army from 1836 to 1839, Captain of a Texas Rangers Company, Served on the Commission to create Wood County, 1st Sheriff of Wood Co., represented Wood & Van Zant Counties in the State Legislature from 1855 to 1856, and was a Confederate Officer in the Civil War, serving as 2nd Lt Co B 10th Texas Cavalry.
