Harold Crook
Readstown - Harold Crook, 74, died Monday (Oct. 30,1972) in a Viroqua hospital after a long illness. He married the former Mabel Simpson and farmed and worked as a carpenter until his retirement a few years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian (Carl B.) Larson and Mrs. Geraldine (Dale) Slaback, both of Readstown; four half-brothers, Otto Crook, Yakima, Wash.; Clair Crook, Viola; Floyd Crook, Readstown; and Fay Crook, Kenosha; two half-sisters, Mrs. Mildred Simpson and Mrs. Alta Aikens, both of Readstown; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Readstown Methodist Church. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Sime Funeral Home and Wednesday from noon until services at the church.

William Harold Crook was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel; an infant son, Kenneth; his parents, William Frank and Lillian M "Lillie" (Aikins) Crook; a sister, Eula Mae Crook; his paternal grandparents, William and Catherine Crook and his maternal grandparents Charles and Isabelle Aikins; his step-mother Prudence (Reynolds) Crook and a half-sister, Mearl Nundahl.
