Carlos Ferreiro, age 53 of Danbury, beloved husband of Bela Maria (Sarmento) Ferreiro, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, May 27th with his loving family by his side. He was born in Nantas Chaves, Portugal on July 4, 1958, son of the late Henrique and Modesta (Macanjo) Ferreiro. He made his home in the U.S. for the past 25 years. Carlos was a union con-struction worker for the Local WDF731 in New York City. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and driving his Mini Cooper. He also loved making wine, growing olives, and was a talented welder. He was delighted with the birth of his first precious granddaughter, and her smiles brightened his days. In addition to his cherished wife of 31 years, Bela, he will be sadly missed by his son, Vitor Ferreiro and his wife, Candice of Danbury; his daughter, Susana Seidl and her husband, Christopher of Newtown; and his granddaughter, Ava Ferreiro. He is also survived by one brother and five sisters; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 10 am at Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, May 31st between the hours of 6 and 8pm.
