Amy Belle Sherry, formerly of State Street, Bradford, passed away in Georgia on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the age of 98.

Amy was born March 27, 1913, a daughter of Simon and Ida Reed Himes of Summerville, Pa. area. She had resided in Bradford for many years with her husband, Lewis D. Sherry, who passed away in 1991.

Amy and Lewie also lived in the Duke Center area for many years. At the age of 95 she moved to Eatonton, Georgia to live with her daughter, Evelyn Sherry Hawkins.

Amy was what one might call a 'flower girl'. She loved to plant and nurture flowers.

Surviving besides her daughter of Georgia are five sons, Frank Sherry of Cuba, New York, Ken Sherry of Olean, New York, Roger 'Bud' Sherry of Agawam, Mass., Dan Sherry of Eagle Mountain, Utah and Paul Sherry of St. Marys, Pa.; as well as 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren living in various areas of the U. S.

Mrs. Sherry wll be cremated and her remains will be placed with her husband in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred, at a date and time to be announced. The Rev. Dorothy Kunselman will officiate.
