An Old Resident Dead.

James Newman,one of the oldest residents living in the vicinity of Proctor, W. Va., died at his home about one mile east of that place Friday evening.
The deceased was in the eighty-fifth year of his age, and is survived by two sons and two daughters.
He was an ardent supporter of the Democratic party in this vicinity for many years, and he will be missed by a large circle of friends.
The funeral services took place from the family residence Sunday afternoon. Interment at the Proctor cemetery.
