Final Rites For Mrs. K. Brewer

Funeral service for Mrs. Kate Brewer were held at Liberty Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas, Saturday, April 16, 1977 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. R. T. Taylor, Officiating.

Sister Katie Brewer was born March 31, 1898 to the union of the late John Guthrie and Mrs. Carrie Jones Guthrie.

She united with Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age under the pastorate of the late Rev. Jeff Brown. Later she united with the Liberty Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her death.

She was married to Bro. Fess Brewer in 1917 and to this union six children were born to preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brewer departed this life Tuesday, April 12, 1977. She is survived by her husband, Bro. Fess Brewer; two daughters, Sis Lois Black, Tyler; Miss Fay Etta Brewer, Rochester, New York; two sons, Mr. Homer Brewer, Dallas; Mr. James Brewer, Tyler; two grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Active Pallbearers were R. V. Daniel, Johnnie Granville, Louie Thompson, Fren Gunter, R. E. Walker and C. E. Booker.

Honorary Pallbearers were Deacons of Liberty Baptist Church.

Flower Bearers were Deaconesses and Senior Choir.

Interment at Shady Grove Cemetery with Brooks-Sterling Funeral Directors In Charge of Arrangements.
