Roy L. Sipe
Roy L. Sipe, 87, of Morristown died July 19, 2005 at Heritage Manor in Shelbyville.
Born Aug. 5, 1917 in Scottsburg, he was the son of Clement V. and Agnes M. (Smith) Sipe.
He had been employed with Delco-Remy in Anderson, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Morristown Christian Church and a former member of the Morristown Lions Club and Morristown Town Council. He was a graduate of Anderson High School.
Survivors include his wife, Janet V. (Jessup) Sipe, whom he married Nov. 24, 1938; sons, Steve Sipe of Mission Viejo, Calif. and Rick Sipe of Clarkston, Mich.; daughters Sharon Huffman of Whiteland, Cinda Andis of Morristown and Connie Cunningham of Greenfield; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester and John Sipe; sisters, Bertha Baxter, Mary Jones and Mildred Carroll; and two infant siblings.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morristown Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Coyle officiating.
Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel in Morristown and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
