Survivors: his wife, the former Edith DeVore; daughters Patricia Nieves, Cindy Thomas Nancy Kaufman and Jackie Farmer; a son, Terry Abell; sisters Clara Desurne, Alma Samuels and Ora Biggers; brothers Willis and Orville Abell; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Christian Assemble Church, 9020 Stonestreet Road. Burial: Resthaven. Visitation: Arch L. Heady Okolona, 8519 Preston Highway, 2-9 p.m. Monday and noon-9 p.m. Tuesday and the church after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
