She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Ancil Adwin "Bug" Durrett on January 29, 1946 who preceded her in death on June 5, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Don Douglas Durrett, a granddaughter: Kriscinda Durrett and a sister: Mathis Altman.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Ronnie Bishop of Greensburg; three sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Judy Durrett, Steve and Stella Ann Durrett and Troy and Marla Durrett all of Green County; eight grandchildren: Sherri Druin and husband Justin, Casey Durrett and wife Andrea, Blake Durrett and wife Whitney, Andi Shuffett and husband Ashley, Derek Bishop and wife Shannon, Ashley Bishop, Tanner Durrett and Gannen Durrett; five great-grandchildren: Ivy Ree Steagall, Alasya Durrett, Tatum Durrett, Corbin Shuffett and Campbell Bishop; three sisters: Janetta Milby of Summersville, Irene Walker of Campbellsville and Rachel Dobson and husband Quincy of Summersville; two brothers: Leland Hall and wife Barbara of Somerset and Ray Hall of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law V. T. Altman of Summersville and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Hall Durrett were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Wilson Cemetery. Rev. Ashley Shuffett and Rev. Irvin Milby Jr officiataed.
Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sherri and Justin Druin, Casey and Andrea Durrett, Blake and Whitney Durrett, Andi and Ashley Shuffett, Derek and Shannon Bishop, Ashley Bishop, Tanner Durrett, Gannen Durrett, Ivy Ree Steagall, Alasya Durrett, Tatum Durrett, Campbell Bishop and Corbin Shuffett.
