Randy Franks
1963 - 2011

Randy Franks, age 47 of Whitney passed away on May 27, 2011 in Whitney.

Services were held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Greg Johnson and Dr. Allan Lane officiating. Interment followed at Whitney Memorial Park.

Randy was born November 23, 1963 in Texas City, Texas, the son of Vernon (Jeff) and Peggy (West) Franks. He grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School in 1981. From 1981 to 1987, he served his country in the United States Army. He was self-employed as a remodeling housing contractor. Randy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney and a member of the American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his father, Jeff, and sister, Pam Meador Franks.

Survivors include his mother; Peggy West of Whitney; three children: Michael Franks and Randy Franks, Jr. of Florida and Breanna Franks of Whitney; one brother; Michael Franks of Whitney, one sister; Teresa Walker of Whitney; four grandchildren, Michael, Sky, Jackson, and Dakota Franks.
