Stanley L. "Leroy" Bray, 73, of Baytown, Texas, formerly of the Lafayette area, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Triumph Hospital in Baytown.
He was born Oct. 4, 1937, in South Raub to the late Ingram and Ada Deckard Bray.
On Aug. 30, 1963, he married Betty Casad in Las Vegas, and she survives.
Mr. Bray worked in the oil refineries in Texas for many years and was retired.
He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Sharon Oliver and Karen Inman (husband: Jack), both of Baytown; a son, Robert Bray (wife: Sherry) of Rossville; a sister, Pauline Winger of Lafayette; and three brothers, Mervyn Bray (wife: Elsye) of Lafayette, Ralph Bray (wife: Johanna) of Pennsylvania and Donald "Bill" Bray (wife: Ardyce) of Wisconsin.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by 2 sons, Patrick and Michael Bray; 8 brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Rev. Clayton Kendall officiating. Burial will be at New Richmond Cemetery.
