The death of Mrs. Emma Whiting a well known Prospect resident, occured at her home of her cousin, Mrs. Orillia Griffith in that town Monday morning shortly after 8 o'clock. Death was the result of a long illness with heart trouble.
The deceased was aged sixty-five years and had been a resident of Marion county all her life. Her husband Captain Whiting preceded her in death three years. Two brothers, Richard Whiting of New York and Clinton Whiting of Decatur, Illinois, survive. A sister, Mrs. Allen Bennett of Derry, Pennsylvania, also survives.
The time of the funeral has not been definitely arranged but will probably be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The remains will be brought to this city and interment will take place in the Marion cemetery.
