Known as Peggy by her family and friends, she married Rev. William Allen Gray, son of John Gray and the former Elizabeth Pettiegrew of Abbeville, South Carolina. In the late 1830's, Peggy and Rev. Gray emigrated west to the area around Tippah County, Mississippi. There are no known children, but after the death of her sister-in-law, Margaret Nason Milling Bell, in 1856; two infant nephews, Richard Thomas and Allen Grey Bell, came to live with Peggy in Ripley.
