Danilda J. Watts, 91, retired licensed practical nurse, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002. Service 10 a.m. Monday, at Webb Mortuary; burial 2 p.m. Tuesday, Olive Branch Cemetery, Kensington.
She was born Jan. 30, 1911 in rural Kensington, Kan., the third child of 12 born to the late August William and Emma Elizabeth (Biermann) Carstens. She graduated from Agra H.S. in 1930. She cared for her grandmother, Johanna Biermann for several years.
On June 29, 1941, she was married to Hiram Ambrose Watts in Kansas City, Kan. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there for 13 years. In 1957 they moved to Clearwater.
She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Haysville and Golden Chain, Clearwater.
Preceded in death by husband of 17 years, in 1959; son, James Bruce Watts on June 5, 1988 and great-granddaughter, Heather Love Girkin, born and died on Oct. 13, 1980.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and James Finn of Hot Springs, Ark., Mary and Harold Stafford of Clearwater, Deborah and Ronald Girkin of Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandchildren, Jamie Golliher, Julie Hilgendorf, Shannon Heise, Shawn and Aaron Simon, Christopher, Joshua and Zachary Girkin; eight great-grandchildren, Kenny, Sadie and Luke Golliher, Paul, Desiree and Mariah Hilgendorf, Trevor and Travis Heise, sisters, Lorraine Bridges of Houston, Lucine Harris of Salina; brothers, Dick Carstens of Kensington, Levi Carstens of Isanti, Minn.
