FALLBROOK - Lena Bowen, 71, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001. Born Nov. 17, 1930, in Penabalanca, N.M., she lived in Fallbrook for three years. She retired as a home health care aide for San Diego County after working for 15 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mrs. Bowen is survived by her daughters, Barbara Fogle of Chula Vista and Peggy Mincey of Fallbrook; brother Gabriel Koury of Yuma, Ariz.; sister Lila Evans of Yuma; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Bud Kaicher officiating. Burial will follow at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 2655 Camino Del Rio North, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92108. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary is handling arrangements.
