BATES, Thelma Louis "Sally" - Sally passed away in Colchester Regional Hospital, Thursday, October 13, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Nellie and Seaton Campbell; husbands, Bob Chisholm and Harold Bates; sisters, Nettie Tucker, Gertrude Portous, Eleanor Booth; brothers, Didge, Edgar, Art, and Gerald. She is survived by son, Brian (Marylouise) Chisholm; several nephews and nieces including Sharon and Ross MacKay, Truro; Lynn and Ken Booth, Burlington; Colleen and Jack Wambolt, Truro; Darrel and Judy Campbell, Washington; Jack and Jocelyn Cook, Middle Stewiacke; Leo and Barb MacDonald, Pictou; and sister in-law, Helen Hingley, Truro. Sally retired from Margolians in 1969. Later, Harold and Sally moved to Hilden where they discovered over the years a great number of caring neighbours and friends. Sally would like to say goodbye to Burt, Linda, Owen, Julia, Jocelyn, Dave, Donnie, Steve, Gordie and the Gloade family, especially Mark Gloade, whom she met during her daily walks. At Sally's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private committal service at a later date. Donations in memory of Sally may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
