Charles City woman killed in car accident
CHARLES CITY — A 45-year old Charles City woman was
killed Saturday in a three-vehicle accident here.
Julie Berding died while riding as a passenger in a car driven by Rick Pierce, 46, of Charles City Police report Pierce was driving south on South Grand Avenue when he failed to yield while turning left and pulled into the path of another vehicle. A car driven by Brandon
Schwab, 21, of Cedar Falls, collided with Pierce's car and sent it spinning into the Vehicle of Christine Gohr, 49, of Charles City Pierce, Schwab and Gohr were all treated and released from a local hospital.
The accident remains under investigation. Assisting the
Charles City Police were the Floyd County,Reserves and the
Charles City Fire Department.
