Well-known Landscape Architect and City Planning Engineer
He was a most likable man, always ready to give advise very generously, which profited those who asked for it, because of his long and varied experiences all over this country and abroad. George Gibbs fought hard to obtain his knowledge, and overcame what seemed to be almost insurmountable obstacles, in order that he might gain his boyhood desire to become a landscape architect. This characteristic seemed to have persisted throughout his life, for he never seemed to let anything really worry him; the harder the problem to be solved, the happier he seemed to be.
