Per the 1956 Iowa State Census -- Robert and his wife Rachel were living in Washington,Appanoose Co., Iowa and had been living in the state of Iowa for 2 years. The Rachel that Robert is married to is the sister of Robert's brother Thomas' first wife Mary R. Perry. Rachel returned to Illinois after Robert's death. She, Mary and another sister, Jane Perry Elliott, are all buried in the same cemetery there.
