Born April 20, 1916, in Rutherford County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Wesley Smith and Lula Bumgarner Smith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abee was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Thomas Abee, a grandson, Christopher James Abee, three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Abee was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, Morganton.
She will lovingly be remembered by three sons, Glenn Smith, and special friend, Jeanette Anderson, Sid Watts, and wife, Betty, Ben Abee and wife, Gay Ree, all of Morganton; Five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews will also loving remember her.
Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Golden Valley, NC.
