Denzil L. Childers
SALEM – Denzil L. Childers, 82 of East Main Street, Salem, died at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in a Clarksburg hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born April 10, 1903, on Coburn's Fork, near Jarvisville, a son of the late Daniel and Anna May Brown Childers.
His wife, Texie M. Cox Childers survives.
Also surviving are one son, Edward E. Childers, Morgantown; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Wilda) Seckman, Salem and Mrs. Richard (Juanita) Spinney, Beaumont, Texas; one brother Hoy Childers, Weston; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Diana Jean Seckman, and a sister, Vernecie Brohard.
Mr. Childers was Protestant. He was a retired rural postal carrier with 42 years service, most of his service in the area of Route 1, Bristol.
