Elizabeth Bennett, 93, of Tulsa, OK passed away on January 19, 2011 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tulsa on October 4, 1917 to George and Gertrude (Hall) Tinder. She attended Central High School and went on to study at Central Bible Institute in Springfield, MO.

On July 31, 1940 she married Phil Bennett, and they were married for 51 years. She and Phil had four children: Jim, Phyllis, Richard, and Barbara.
Elizabeth maintained close relationships with her sisters into their adult life, and she was a wonderful Homemaker. It was clear to those she knew that she loved the Lord.

She played an active role as Grandma or Bumba to her nine grandchildren: Mike Bennett, Michele Smucker, James Wagner and his wife Samantha, Lindsay Harkins and her husband Jeff, Erin Goodrich and her husband Brian, Caitlin Crumpler and her fiance Dakota Harris, Aubrey Owens, April Richardson and her husband Nate, and Ashley Owens.

She was blessed with ten great grandchildren: Jordan Bennett and his wife Maggie, Philip Smucker, Emily Smucker, Tyler Smucker, Madison Owens, Brandon Owens, Caleb Owens, Madeline Harris Savannah Harkins, and Bennett Wagner; and her only great-great grandchild Ryan Bennett.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Bennett; sisters, Ruth McKim, Marie Pittenger, and Louise Conwell.

Survivors include her children James R. Bennett, Phyllis Crumpler, Richard Bennett and his wife Missy, and Barbara Wagner and her husband Ed; her nine grandchildren; her ten great grandchildren; and her great-great grandson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to gideoninternational.org.

A Funeral Service to celebrate her life was held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Reverend Alan McBroom officiated. Musical selections were "I Love To Tell The Story" and "Nearer My God To Thee".
