-----
Charles and Cora B Archibald were married on October 27, 1887.
Cora and Charles had two children of their own: Pearl Elizabeth (a/k/a Elizabeth Pearl in some sources) Anderson Angstead, and Otto C. A. Anderson.
A John Ross Archibald (/a/k/a Ross Archibald, Cora's brother) got married and they lived near Abingdon, in Jefferson county, Iowa. Their daughter, Goldie May/Mae Archibald, was born on March 24th, 1901. Evidently the mother of Goldie began to have health problems shortly afterwards, and Goldie was allowed to live with Charles and Cora Anderson to be raised. The mother died when Goldie was less than four years old - Goldie was then formally adopted by Charles and Cora; and Cora continued to raise Goldie after the death of Charles Anderson in 1908. Goldie's own health declined as she was in her mid-teens, and on January 4, 1920 Goldie passed away from tuberculosis of the bone. She, and her adoptive parents, are buried in this same plot at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa.
See the memorial for Goldie for her full obituary.
---------
For now (as of June 21, 2011), Goldie is linked to Charles directly for the purpose relationship links (she was formally adopted). If and when the biological parents are located with burial sites, they will be linked from Goldie's memorial to establish those relationships.
