Vernell Ayers, 72, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Vernell was born June 16, 1939, to Myrtle and Jim Taylor. She was a member of Colleyville Assembly of God. Vernell retired from the Winn-Dixie grocery store on Davis Boulevard.
Survivors: Husband of 34 years, Frank Ayers; daughters, Evonne Ross and Rhonda Money; sons, David Ayers and Brian Ayers; brother, J.R. Taylor; sisters, Gladys Grigsby, Fern Pochopien and Annie Bates; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
