Jeaudoin was employed by the Hudson's Bay Company at Ft. George in 1821. In 1826-27 he accompanied a trapping expedition south under command of A.R. McLeod, Chief Trader. Charles retired from the Hudson's Bay Company in 1831, settling on French Prairie.
