Kenneth was born in Crow Wing Co., Minnesota, and spent the first years of his life there. He moved to Seattle with his parents, and finished schooling there. He met Janna Ferwerda, and they were married on March 29, 1941, at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bremerton, Kitsap Co., Washington. He joined the Army Air Corps, serving in WWII, and continued on with the Air Force as a career. While in Germany in the early 1950's he and Janna adopted their children: a daughter they named Janna Kay Lidstrom, who preceded him in death 2002, and a son Kenneth Vernon Lidstrom, Jr., who preceded him in death 1994.
Kenneth's wife, Janna, passed away in 1995. Kenneth, or "Kenny" as he was known, lived his last years in Puyallup at Merrill Gardens, where he enoyed involvment in the life of his beloved granddaughter, Brianna Marquardt (daughter of Scott and Janna Lidstrom Marquardt). He was a born-again Christian, attending church in Puyallup, and a very fine man.
