Mrs. Hope Montemayor, 69 2222 South 11th St., died Sunday morning at a local hospital.
Mrs. Montemayor was born in Mexico and had moved to St. Joseph when she was eight years old. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was the widow of Blas Montemayor, who died in November 1968.
The mass for Mrs. Hope Montemayor, will be celebrated at 10 Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. John Hix will officiate and burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 this evening at the Rupp chapel.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs Josephine Suarez, St. Joseph; three daughters, Mrs Delores Hayward, Mrs. Josephine Allison, both of St. Joseph, and Mrs Martha Meng, Troy Kan.; five sons, Frank Montemayor, Jesse Montemayor, both of St. Joseph, Paul Montemayor of the home, Albert Montemayor, Savannah, Mo.,and Blas Montemayor Jr., Emporia, Kan.; one brother, frank Suarez, Kansas City, Mo., 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
