Services for Jim K. Looker, 79, of Ingram were held Thursday, October 28, 1982 in Kerrville Funeral Home. Dr. Rodney Sunday, Presbyterian minister officiated. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.
An Ingram resident since 1956, Mr. Looker was born December 9, 1902 to Samuel E. and Martha Looker in Richland County, Wisconsin. He was a member and past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, retired director of Hill Country Telephone Co-op., a real estate broker and a member of the Kerrville Board of Realtors. He was the former owner and operator of Hill Country Kitchen at Hill Country Art Foundation at Ingram and former owner of King's Derby Restaurant in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bernard. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucille Looker and a sister, Mrs Clemen Christensen of Lynch, Nebraska.
Active pallbearers were Gerald Wikle, Jack Tucker, Ramsey Gunter, Fred Hannemann, W.F. Roberts, Hilmar Pressler, Karl Prohl, Craig Leslie and Bennett Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers were A.A. Saenger, Chester Jarrell, Joe Williamson and members of the Elks Lodge.
Memorial contributions were suggested to the charity of one's choice.
