Of 2600 Pleasant Valley boulevard,
died at his home at 2 o'clock Sunday
morning following several
months' illness of a heart condition.
For many years he was cmployed
as a brakeman in the Altoona
yards of the Pennsylvania
Railroad company, retiring from
active service in February, 1937. He
was born on Aug. 29. 1876, the son
of James S. and Frances Moore
Bowser of Roaring Spring. Surviving
are his wife, the former
Miss Elizabeth Jones of South
Fork, one foster-daughter, Millicent
Jones Sperry, at home, and one
brother, C. M. Bowser of this city.
Mr. Bowser was a member of the
First Church of the Brethren and
was affiliated with the B. of R. T.,
No. 174, Warren G. Harding council,
No. 372, Junior Mechanics, the
Hollidaysburg order of the I. O. O.
F., and the encampment of Hollidaysburg.
Friends are being received
at the home at any time.
