Murder Victim. Irene Silverman was an 82 year old widow worth a total of $8.5 million dollars. In 1998, a con artist named Sante Kimes and her 24 year old son, Kenneth killed Mrs. Silverman and hid her body in an unknown location. Sante and Kenneth Kimes were eventually sentenced to 120 years each for her murder. Irene's body has never been recovered. A TV movie was later made about the case. Irene's character was played by "All In The Family" star, Jean Stapleton.
