Mr. Potter went to DuBois on Sunday, July 29, to visit his daughter. He was born March 14, 1850, in Fisher, where he spent his entire life until seven years ago, when he went to Sheffield to make his home with H. H. Potter, a son. Mr. Potter was a faithful member of the Methodist church for a long period of years. He is survived by H. H. Potter, Sheffield, R. D. Potter, Youngsville; Mrs. Stephen Ransom, Kellettville; and Mrs. G. L. Howard of DuBois. His wife preceded him in death seven years go. A daughter also died a number of years ago."

Ferguson lived his last few years in Sheffield with his son, Harry. He was a slight man with a white mustache and always had a large vegetable garden. He constructed a home in Fisher earlier but originally owned a farm outside of Fisher where Harry was born. (His granddaughter, Claire Potter Anderson (Raymond Potter) is the source of this info).
