Actor. Born Wilhelm Kevowitz in Germany, he grew up on New York City's East Side and made his debut as a child in vaudeville in 1897. By the 1920s, he was a popular comic figure performing in the best theatre houses as well as touring with vaudeville shows. He made his big screen debut in the short reel film "Between the Acts of Opera" (1926), followed by "I'm Telling You" (1931). His other feature film credits include "Millions in the Air" (1935), The Affairs of Pierre" (1937), "The Smart Way" (1937), "Pardon My Accident" (1938) and "On Guard" (1942). He died at age 62 in Paramus, New Jersey.
