Michael P. Becker, 81, of 129 Center St., Brillion, died at 12:35 Sunday noon at Maple Crest Sanitarium, Whitelaw, following a lingering illness. He was born Aug. 27, 1876, in Manitowoc.

He was married June 11,1900, to Annie K. Pritzl, at Trinity Catholic Church, town of Kasson (Manitowoc county). She preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1942. On May 27, 1944. he married Mrs. Margaret Glomsky, Manitowoc. He came to Brillion in 1898, and was a cigar manufacturer for about 40 years. From 1943 to 1947, he was postmaster. He was active in civic affairs and was a village trustee and for one term was village president from 1919 to 1926.

He also conducted a band and orchestra as a hobby and managed the village baseball team from 1908 to 1909. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and Catholic Knights.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Mrs. W. G. (Lillian) Straitiff, Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Leslie (Helen) O'Hearn and Mrs. A. R. (Anita) Leonard, both of Milwaukee; two step-daughters, Mrs. William (Regina) Dubner, Medford, and Mrs. Eugene (Lucy) Biederwolf, Sheboygan; five sons, Frank of Sheboygan, Harold and Richard of Corona, Calif., Eugene of Kansas City, Mo., and Lyle of Brillion; three step sons, Jake, Harry and Ervin Glomsky, all of Sheboygan; 33 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren, and seven step grandchildren; three brothers George of Thorp, Frank of Two Rivers and John of Manitowoc and one sister, Mrs. Mary Kaufman, Manitowoc. Two daughters, two sons and a step-son preceded him in death

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brillion. The Rev. Joseph A. Becker, a nephew, of St. Mary's Catholic
Church, Menasha, will conduct a high mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
